Solu Music featuring KimBlee "Fade [Original Mix]" on YouTube
Such a great song. I remember listening to this song back in 2002. It is great when you can still really enjoy a song after so many years and then you have more years to come. I simply enjoy this song.

Streetfilms | Documenting Livable Streets Worldwide
Streetfilms is the video arm of the Livable Streets Initiative: producing educational, entertaining, and inspiring films for a sustainable urban environment. Their short, on-line videos on topics such as bus rapid transit in Bogota, Colombia, neighborhood traffic-calming in Portland, Oregon, and bike lane design in Copenhagen, Denmark have been viewed more than half a million times and used to support advocacy projects in communities from Toronto to Tasmania.

Streetfilms | Bus Rapid Transit: Bogotá
Wow...watching this short was really great. I really am inspired to live in a city where public transportation is really great. I am even inspired to make a change for public transportation where I live (Murfreesboro, TN). Murfreesboro has the Rover and it is really small operating from 6am-6pm on the weekdays, but there can be so much more done to make it more impressive. Have you driven down Memorial Blvd. in the afternoon? Wow! It is unbelievable. But I believe that public transportation can be a lot better in this city as it connects riders with neighboring cities of Smyrna, LaVergne, Lebanon, Franklin, Nashville, perhaps even Manchester.

Iran's Post-Election Uprising: Hopes & Fears Revealed
I still have yet to read the graphic-novel memoir Persepolis and today I checked out the movie that is based on this graphic novel from the local library. It seems to have great animation and I really do enjoy the artistic merits of great animation. This link leads to Persepolis 2.0 (an updated version which combines Marjane Satrapi's illustrations with new text and recounts the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this past summer).

Nashville Civic Design Center
Another link I shall add this morning is the one for the Nashville Civic Design Center. I enjoy progress so this page will allow me to see the progress that is being made to make Nashville (my hometown) a much better place as the years go by. While I do plan on eventually moving to Portland, Oregon, I will always consider Nashville to be home. It is the place where I was born. It will contains many memories I will cherish for lifetime and more.

Really Real Photorealism By Claire O'Neill
Creativity is great and it is great to see artists use their abilities to create. I like the idea of recreating reality because reality is really just impulses sent to your brain via the various senses such as hearing, seeing, touching, etc. For an artist to convey they innermost thoughts for others to sense is really amazing.

katakana at kids.nifty
Thanks to about.com, I have this link to learning katakana. Well I know katakana, but I just need to practice it more. It has a lot of PDF files to help you learn how to write in katakana. The site is in Japanese, but do not worry. This is a step to learning Japanese or perhaps even as an enhancement to learning Japanese. I need to explore this site more beyond this link and the one that I posted before this one.

Snow Patrol "Just Say Yes" -- New Video
I really like the music of Snow Patrol. This song seems to be one that will require multiple listens before I enjoy it. I do not dislike it. Give it time and it will become one of my favorites just like "Run" and "The Planets Bend Between Us."

W3C Sites - Web sites created by designers that conform with W3C standards
I will sign up with this site as a testimony to the seriousness I take when making a website. I am in the midst of moving towards professionalism and this stie seems to be the right step. Actually one can learn from this move as well. Most people tell themselves that they are not good enough. They tend to put themselves on a lower shelf. A lot of time people feel that they are not worthy. Starting today, empower yourself and finally believe in yourself. That is what I plan to do.

Mayer Hawthorne
I feel as though I am in that scene from the movie Virgin Suicides where as four neighbourhood boys share songs over the phone with the Lisbon sisters. Mayer Hawthorne's songs remind me of the style of songs that the characters played over the phone to one another.

Lang-8 - Multi-lingual language learning and language exchange
I was listening to an episode of JapanesePod101 and there was a mention of this website. Wow. It just sounds so cool. I can have a blog in another language and then native speakers of that language will critique it so that it can help you with learning that language. Also you get to help others learn the language that you speak (so in my case, I can help people learn English). I really have to create an account and start blogging away. Of course, my sentences will be very simple at first, but they will soon evolve in complexity.

In celebration of my first entry in a very long time, I will post a link to Studio Ghibli World here. I feel that it is neccessary to comtinue having my pitas page (I have had it since 2002 and it has been so good to me). So I will use this page to place links and perhaps they may end up on my links page. I can link news stories here and interesting links that I want to see years from now. Of course many of the links will expire, but for the time being, at least they will be here.
